My Big B.C. Mini Vacation
I spent the majority of the time since scheduling this past weekend referring to it as a “mini vacation.” But it was anything but. I daresay it may be one of the most memorable weekends I’ve had to date, and may rank as the best of the year. I’m going to try and fit this into one post, in sections. So, here goes:
Brock’s Show at HMV on Robson
I arrived in Vancouver at around 1pm Vancouver time (the timezone is an hour behind that of my home base), and it was overcast but had finished raining. My father picked me and a cousin up and drove us down to my aunt’s rather impressive 15th floor highrise apartment (which has security like Fort Knox, let me tell you…). The apartment was packed with family, my cousin Brock and his dancers, so we all headed out to take in the city and have coffee during Brock’s sound check. It was quite surreal to be sipping a latte with my cousin’s face on posters all over Robson Street.

After nearly being late from finding a pharmacy for drugs for my headache, the show started at 4 and was super fun. A bunch of family came out to see him (including a cousin who surprised us!), as well as old family friends and people I hadn’t seen in ages. Thank goodness for my new telephoto lens, which allowed me to take photos from the balcony since the floor was packed with teenage girls (and so was the balcony for that matter!).

When I’m not making the Internet pretty & functional at my day job, I can be found snapping photographs, having dinner with friends, listening to kickass music, fiddling with one of my many Apple products or shopping for new & exciting sweaters.
