Travel Tips

I love to travel. There’s something undeniably exciting about being foreign in a new place. Not to mention, the amazing feeling of stepping back into a place you’ve fallen in love with before. Unfortunately for me, I haven’t had the luxury of travelling since well before I started post secondary in autumn 2009. Since then, every stretch of time (and money) has been taken up by working to pay tuition, the classes themselves once that had been achieved, summer internships, more classes and finally, an actual full time job. Of course, while the full time job does take up most of my time, it also opens doors for new travel experiences. I am hoping to take advantage of these experiences while I can – before the trials and responsibilities (read: rent and bills) of adult life catch up with me.

It may be hard to believe, but about five years ago, I packed my life into two suitcases and a carry-on and spent 9 months living in different places in Canada. Sure, my ride around the country was government-funded, but the experiences were the same as anyone else who picks up and jets off. Canada, in itself, is like several different countries. The feel in each province is decidedly different.
